A mother bear and two cubs wandered into my observation area last Saturday. Mom came into the yard to check out the different smells.
The cubs stayed up on the hill. They certainly do look like a handful.
When the sow figured out that I was there, she took off running, huffing and trying to act scary. She literally ran through the fence in the picture above. The cubs were up a tree in a matter of seconds until the sow reached the top of the hill. Even faster than climbing up the tree, they descended and took off with the sow. It was really quite an amazing thing to watch.
