Simply Sailing

I’d like to turn your attention to www.simplysailingonline.com.  Connie just posted an article that I did on one of my Mora knives.  It is the first guest post that I’ve ever done for a blog other than my own.  I have to tell you, it felt good!

For those of you that don’t know, Simply Sailing is about more than sailing.  It is about simplicity in life, tools, philosophy and much more.  I’ve sailed a grand total of once in my life, but that doesn’t stop me from tuning into this blog regularly.  Connie and Dave “dropped out” almost a decade ago.  They sold their house, bought a boat and raised their boys on the water.

They bucked the system and, in my opinion, they are winning.  I can’t begin to explain how appealing that idea is to me.

So head on over and check it out.  I talk about Mora knives, axes and…..my cranky boss.  Oh – and, for the first time in Sharpened Axe history, I reveal my real name.  Whoa!

Pax Domini Sit Semper Vobiscum,

And what MOH isn’t telling you is that Conne was actually our French teacher back in high school. More than that, she was the most mellow and easy-going teacher there too, and closer to our age than most of our teachers. Every morning, MOH and some of the rest of us non-in crowd kids used to hang out in her room before school. She was just an easy-going and fun person to be around, and in addition to Lenny McHatten, the only reason I survived high school, I think.

And in another note, hands down, no contest, the prettiest teacher to ever grace the halls of ACHS. For the record.

I share your frustrations with perceptions that 'weapons' are "BAD"!!
…and I always end up chuckling at your quips and little jokes in your writing!
    thanks for the good thoughts
